Hello friend.

I am a bioinformatician, coming from Greece, keen on microbes and their interactions.
I use the reverse ecology paradigm and systems biology approaches to untangle microbe-microbe and microbe-environment interactions and their dynamics.
I enjoy developing, but I am even more interested in understanding how the components of a community interact to produce outcomes that exceed the sum of their individual contributions.

Oct 2022 – present

post-doc researcher at KU Leuven

Since September 2022, I have joined the Lab of Microbial Systems Biology at KU Leuven and Prof. Karoline Faust group. The lab focuses on the structure and dynamics of microbial communities with systems biology methods. My contribution is in the modeling tasks of the 3D’omics project.

Oct 2020 – present

research associate at GeomScale

GeomScale is an open source project developing algorithms for geometric statistics. This field has essential benefit for biologically oriented problems especially in metabolic models analysis.

MSc student and PhD candidate at IMBBC - HCMR

I joint IMBBC, HCMR and the Biodiversity lab of Dr. Christos Arvanitidis for my MSc thesis. After that, I had my PhD with Dr. Evangelos Pafilis.
